Description

The Ecowitt WS3900 gives you your own detailed picture of the weather where it matters most — at your home or property. See how much rain has actually fallen, how strong the wind really is, how hot or cold it is outside and how conditions are changing throughout the day.

Everything comes together on a large 7.5-inch colour display inside your home, with the option to connect the Ecowitt WS3900 to your existing home Wi-Fi network through your modem/router so you can also view your weather data in the Ecowitt app, look back over past conditions and download your historical weather records.

What makes the Ecowitt WS3900 particularly appealing is that it can be as simple or as comprehensive as you want it to be. As supplied, it is a complete home weather station covering the key weather conditions most people want to monitor. It is also part of Ecowitt's much wider sensor ecosystem, giving you the option to add compatible sensors later if your needs or interests change.

That combination of excellent everyday weather monitoring, free access to online weather history and genuine expandability makes the Ecowitt WS3900 a particularly versatile choice for home and hobbyist weather monitoring.

Your Own Local Weather

The Ecowitt WS3900's WS69 7-in-1 outdoor sensor measures:

  • outdoor temperature
  • outdoor humidity
  • rainfall
  • wind speed
  • wind direction
  • UV
  • solar radiation

The indoor console also measures indoor temperature and humidity together with barometric pressure.

The Ecowitt WS3900 also provides useful additional information including feels-like temperature, dew point, maximum and minimum readings and a weather forecast, bringing your key weather information together in an easy-to-read home display.

A Large Colour Display — Plus Your Weather on Your Phone

You do not have to use a phone to enjoy the Ecowitt WS3900.

The large 7.5-inch colour LCD console gives you a permanent indoor display of your current weather information, making it easy to glance across and see what is happening outside.

The console can stand on a surface or be wall mounted.

For online features, the Ecowitt WS3900 console connects to your existing home Wi-Fi network through your modem/router. Once connected to the internet, it can send your weather data to Ecowitt, allowing you to view your station's readings in the Ecowitt app on your phone.

This gives you both the convenience of a traditional weather-station display in your home and the option of viewing your weather data in the Ecowitt phone app.

Free Weather History — Without a Paid Ecowitt Subscription

Once your Ecowitt WS3900 is connected to Ecowitt.net, the weather data it uploads is stored automatically on Ecowitt's server.

There is no paid Ecowitt subscription required to view this historical information or download your weather records.

You can look back at graphs of past conditions to see how rainfall, temperature, wind and other measurements have changed over time, compare different periods, or download your own data for further analysis.

For anyone interested in rainfall totals, seasonal changes or simply being able to look back at what the weather actually did at their property, this is a particularly useful benefit.

Expand the System If You Want To

Another major strength of the Ecowitt WS3900 is that buying the station does not lock you into one fixed set of sensors.

The Ecowitt WS3900 is compatible with a wide range of optional Ecowitt sensors, allowing the system to be expanded to monitor additional conditions or locations if you want to do more in the future.

There is no need to add anything for normal weather monitoring — the Ecowitt WS3900 is already a complete weather station as supplied. The advantage is simply that the option is there.

Outdoor Sensor Suite and Wireless Connection

The main outdoor weather sensor is one integrated unit that communicates directly with the indoor console using a wireless radio signal — no home Wi-Fi or internet connection is required between the outdoor sensor and console.

Your home Wi-Fi and internet connection are only used for online features such as viewing your weather data in the Ecowitt app and accessing your online weather history.

The outdoor sensor uses solar power with battery backup and is designed for mounting on a suitable pole. The mounting pole itself is not supplied.

More Ways to Use Your Weather Data

Ecowitt.net provides the straightforward option for viewing your Ecowitt WS3900 remotely, looking at graphs and accessing your historical weather records.

For weather enthusiasts who want to share or use their weather information elsewhere, the Ecowitt WS3900 can also upload data to third-party weather services including Weather Underground, WeatherCloud and WOW, as well as a compatible customised weather server.

More advanced users also have options for local-network access and smart-home integration, including Ecowitt's Home Assistant integration.

None of these more advanced options are necessary for normal use of the Ecowitt WS3900, but they give the system considerable additional flexibility for customers who want to do more with their weather data.

Why Choose the Ecowitt WS3900?

  • Know what the weather is doing at your property — monitor your own rainfall, temperature, humidity, wind, UV and solar radiation.
