These readings are sent from the outdoor solar transmitting sensor and indoor sensor built into the console. You can see how much rain has fallen in 1 hour, a day, a week, or a month, see the current UV index reading, and even see the current lux measurement outdoors which is great for those who have rooftop solar arrays. Install the sensors outside and the readings will be transmitted wirelessly to the base unit up to 100m away.

When DC power adapter is connected, back light is on permanently. When only battery operated, back light is turned on only when button is pressed and auto time out is 15s.
The weather station works well as expected. The range is approx 40 meters between the station and the receiver with 4 walls or part obstructions in between and the reception is perfect Recommended
Hi, this Tesa works brilliantly. However, the set up was unnecessarily difficult. Don’t follow the manual. It will lead you astray. Just go to Youtube and Google ‘Tesa Weather station set up’. We wasted an hour trying to follow the manual. Once up and running, the app is good, although I think the graphs are REALLY bad. They are hard to read and visually very very poor. I am surprised that ECOWITT (the company that handles the app) don’t improve them. They are seriously pathetic. It must be easy to fix them. If you just want to know what’s going on TODAY in terms of weather, it’s a wonderful piece of kit. Wifi worked first time. But, as I said, looking up past records of rainfall etc is abysmal. That’s not Tesa’s fault. It’s ECOWITT. I am glad I purchased. I am going to give is 5 stars for the actual weather station, 1 star for the manual set up instructions, and 1 star for the app graphs. Overall, so as to not ‘bag’ TESA, I am going to give it a 5. Easy to assemble, Easy to mount on a 50 mm diameter pipe. Data transmission excellent. Haven't mastered the internet connection yet . . . .
Does everything I wanted. Overall: Good value for money.
